Price Studio is a San Francisco based design practice interested in reclaiming architecture’s relevance.
We believe in crafting big ideas but find inspiration in pragmatic constraints. Like an agile start-up we see collaboration as an essential means to engage diverse and emerging audiences. More interested in curious clientele than any particular building type, our current projects range from 500 acre masterplans to 500 sf installations.
Brian Price has designed numerous award-winning projects for a wide range of discerning clients, from Google to the Museum of Modern Art in New York. A winner of the Architecture League’s Young Architects Award and a finalist in the PS1 Young Architects Program, his work has been published and exhibited internationally. Prior to founding Price Studio in 2013, Brian co-founded New York based PARA-Project and was a senior associate at SHoP architects where he led the design and development of Google’s new World Headquarters as well as the design of numerous innovative and award winning residential and commercial projects. He was the Emerging Architect Fellow at Barnard-Columbia College and has taught design studios at Yale University, UC Berkeley, and the California College of the Arts. He is a fellow of the Académie d’Architecture of France and has been an invited juror at Harvard, Columbia, Yale, and Pratt. He holds the Master of Architecture with Distinction from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, and a Bachelors of Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He is a registered architect and is LEED accredited.
