Wrapped House
This residential renovation redefines a dilapidated home by wrapping it both internally and externally. The original structure’s irregular windows and leaning framing are preserved and exposed within a highly regular shell that surrounds and extends beyond it while thickened interior storage walls to define rooms. The construction convention of ‘furring’ is exaggerated to produce a house hiding within a house.
